Reloading and feeling the weight

Other than the obvious bug ( that I assume is going to get fixed soon ) of crossbows constantly jamming why is reloading while rolling not allowed ?
Our crossbows are already magical and very gun like the fact that a roll would prevent that weapon from reloading is a bit absurd and brings way too much weight to playing with a crossbow even when they feel amazing otherwise.
If the intention is tactical gameplay dodging should never be discouraged Because while using a crossbow dodging is going to make you lose dps doubling your downtime that you already have just by using the weapon class.
