Console text size and filters feedback
I’m a new POE player, started POE2 on 12/6, and haven’t been this consumed by a game in a long, long time. I also play on an Xbox Series X and have no interest in buying a gaming PC.
Everything about this game feels very obviously optimized for PC, with console as an after thought. And this is most obvious when it comes to text size. I play on a 65” TV that is roughly 15 feet from the headboard of my bed. Yet, despite having a huge TV in a moderately sized bedroom, never before have I felt like I needed glasses more than playing this game. The further into endgame I get, and the more gear that drops, the more pronounced this becomes. This problem gets progressively worse the more you push your maps. The lack of the ability to A- have filters to cut through the noise and B- to adjust text size in settings for dropped items and inventory/stat data in the general UI adds a challenging barrier for console players. Most people who are 20% less enthusiastic as I am would have moved on because of this by now. Inventory management is also a major problem on console, but I understand that’s far more difficult to overcome, so that isn’t my top priority right now. The text size is the only thing preventing my girlfriend who was a D2 and EverQuest veteran from even attempting couch co-op because “this is super appealing to me, but this feels like a game I would have to play on PC to be able to see well enough to enjoy.” I sincerely hope that you don’t ignore the needs of console players, as this is a game I hope I will play for the next decade. And while I might actually buy a $4k USD setup just to play it, I don’t want to have to do that to properly enjoy this amazing game. Last bumped on Jan 9, 2025, 7:31:13 AM

" +1 This is arguably the biggest issue on consoles is the lack of an option to increase font size. |
