Using flasks drain my Energy Shield by half - PoE 2

Guys I'm new in PoE and Arpgs in general. I was wondering if you could help me understand some mechanics... I'm currently equipping a corrupted sapphire ring which I think is bugged (or I just simply don't understand how it works) because if I don't have that specific ring equipped and then try to use a flask (life or mana) It drains my energy shield by half. I don't know why...

I tried using different flasks but it doesnt solve the problem.

I'm using the CI / Eternal youth nodes and I'm trying to cap resistances but I'm forced to use that ring or I just kill myself when healing...

What are the ring's stats?

Are your flasks using the mods "take x% of mana/life when you use it"?

What's your gear or skill tree?

CI/eternal youth makes life flasks effect energy shield.


Noone can see your gear/skills tree etc. So I have no idea (as another player) how to help without more info.

I encountered the same problem today after the patch. Using a health flask with CI and Eternal Youth taken removes part of the energy shield.

As you see, nothing extraordinary. But for some reason if I don't have it equipped my flasks always drain my energy shield by half and as I only have 1life (CI) thats not convenient at all...

I'm currently playing on ps5. I know there are some bugs that only affects console players... I already uninstall / install but it didn't work...
