Endurance, Frenzy, and Power Charges

I think a lot of issues with melee would be solved if endurance charges gave a reduced version of PoE1 passive benefits. Having some form of percent reduced or percent less phys and elemental damage taken would seem to solve most peoples' issue with armor not being relevant for mitigating damage right now. Also, Heatproofing is a cool node, but I have no idea what the obsession with reducing fire damage is but not providing a relevant way of dealing with lightning and cold damage. Same goes for increased maximum elemental resistances. I could maybe see myself getting to 85% max fire res but there does not seem to be a relevant method of getting to 90% max fire res or getting lightning and cold resistance to 85%. Right now I am fine for preventing physical damage, but elemental damage will currently one shot me and I do not have a method of preventing that.

Anyway, charges do not need to be one to one with PoE1 but I think there should be some passive benefit to having charges. Right now even though I can empower more slam attacks with endurance charges, it does not present a meaningful reason for me to want to generate endurance charges. Maybe frenzy and power charges are different but Idk.
