Bug after finally getting through Trial of Chaos prevented me from getting ascendeny points (POE2)

After about 8 tries I got lucky with trial of chaos curses and finally got through it on my Invoker monk. Went to the Ascendency alter, which only had the option of adding points to Acolyte of Chayula, which doesn't make sense, since I already had Invoker (and it's impossible to change even if I wanted to). Tripple checked there was no way to switch between ascendencies somehow, but of course there wasn't.

So I backed out, the alter got tagged as used, trial complete, and I got 0 ascendency points after pounding my head against that stupid trial.

using a controller, if that matters.

Forgot to mention this was on PC.
