So I died at iron citadel boss..

I over juiced my first citadel encounter and died from one shot. Do I lost the map forever? I heard something about a 2nd citadel spawning near the 1st once failed but not sure if it’s actually true?

failing a citidal does nothing to affect new ones spawning.

But a fair amount of the citidals ive found seem to be in clusters

Duno personally but from what ive heard with watching several content creators is that they are completely RNG. Theres no proven conspiracy or method of finding them, so I think youre out of luck, sorry man.

I have failed 2 citadels now.

I HATE that the citadel goes dorment. it took so long to get to one, and now I have to find another again.

The mechanic makes me want to give up and stop running maps in the endgame.

@Grinding Gears - Please change this, allow us to challenge the citadel multiple times before it closes.


For reference, I'm running T15-18 maps easily, but these bosses just wreck me sometimes. I dont really feel like searching again for another citadel

Are you running normal Citadel bosses or do you have then on higher difficulty with Atlas Passive Tree Points?

yeah see, people are kinda doing this type of stuff to themselves

first thing you should do before doing a citadel boss is REMOVE ALL THE ATLAS PASSIVES WHICH GIVE MAP BOSS DIFFICULTY

this will make them significantly easier. instead of them doing a billion damage and having a billion health, from my experience they'll have about 1.5-2m hp and not one shot anything.

of course the next thing you should do is make sure you're not over juicing and running map mods that will wreck you.
keep in mind, if you want to juice up the waypoint drop chance for more fragments that means atlas passives which boost the explicits of your maps, which will make the mods HARDER.

for instance, if you have double damage like 40% extra cold/chaos, these atlas passives could make that upwards of like 75% extra cold/chaos. AKA you'll die immediately
and other such terrible mods.


so yeah for the most part, people are doing this to themselves without even realizing it
