What are some guilty pleasures you tend to put in every build?
Things you just feel wrong about if you're not using, regardless of how optimal it may or may not be for your build?
I'd say two things for me: The Stampede These boots are just so nice for QoL. I feel so slow and clunky if I'm not using these. (Ironically, the only build I'm not using them on is my Cyclone build, even though that's possibly its most notable synergy, IMO!) The Traitor (Brutal Restraint) In love with infinite Flask charges. Like if I'm fighting a boss, I want to know that I will always have my Flask(s) up, without needing fodder to kill for it. I basically force this into every build, just because it feels comfy. (Although I do have one Vaal build that relies on it.) Curious as to what some other players have become addicted to! Last bumped on Jan 9, 2025, 8:46:07 PM

I don't know that I have a hugely repeated item or skill. I perhaps go the other way, I try to knowingly avoid using particularly things in a character I already have.

Frostblink
I know its not always the best and its a pain to get the int for it on strength or dex chars but having an instant escape button has saved me so many times from hasted rares and makes bossing much easier so I basically always run it. Frost Shield If my build has ES and the sockets to spare I'm running frost shield, its basically an extra guard spell if you don't need to constantly reposition, I wouldn't take it over a real guard most of the time but its very nice to have. Sublime Vision: Wrath I play a lot of builds that do lightning damage, quite a few of them hiero builds with eternal blesssing and in most of them sublime vision wrath is nowhere near optimal as far as jewels go, but its never bad and having the extra survivability against big hits is very nice. Crackling Lance Everyone has that one skill that they really like the feel of even if it sucks. For me that's Crackling Lance, its very fun to level with and has either great aoe or good single target depending on how you manage the intensity stacks. The problem is there just aren't very many ways to scale its damage up without sacrificing survivability and those that do work are better applied to other skills. |

For some reason I always tend to use the templar notable from militant faith that makes you immune to elemental ailments when on consecrated ground. How I get consecrated ground can vary but that notable is just chef's kiss. I tend to always use it in the end.

Honestly leadership's price. Especially if you get one with +2 max res on it.
It just solves a lot of problems if you can equalize the two highest stats. Brittle is busted strong. |

It allows me to complete no regen/no recovery/no leech maps, great synergy with Petrified Blood if needed. Last edited by 6_din_49#4066 on Jan 9, 2025, 1:04:25 PM

Block and spell block at 75%+ each. Otherwise my characters evaporate the moment some ranged/spell barrage comes in, likely from offscreen.

i stubbornly always make 2handed poison based strike builds.
surprisingly it works well in poe2. in fact i prefer how it works in poe2 more than poe1. in poe1 poison damage scales off of weapon BASE damage. in poe2 poison damage scales off SKILL DAMAGE. which is huge where huge hits leads to huge DOTs. unlike poe1 where you're incentivized to disregard hit damage altogether and just lean heavily on increasing the DOT effectiveness. interestingly poison damage no longer gains damage from any chaos damage multipliers and now is limited to 1 stack but with limited ways to increase the stack totals. if poisons work this way in poe1 my character would immediately see a huge damage boost.
