melee hit should also be allowed while moving

Hi,

Differently from ranged skills which can hit during moving, we stop to do melee hit.
This is not only unfair, but also unrealistic.
In reality, we can melee hit as we move.

I suggest fixing this issue.
Otherwise, it will be different genre with different builds.
i.e. soul-like game (difficulty: legend) for melee builds, hack & slash (difficulty: novice) for ranged builds.

Cheers,

Yeah it should be reverse.

Melee should be move while attacking, Ranged should be immobile with a big accuracy penalty for firing while moving. Spells should be mostly immobile with a big cast speed reduction for moving while casting.
i fully agree, moving during the windup would improve melee which currently suffers and slowing/denying ranged & casters would reign in the zoomzoom which should be banished to poe1.
on top of that id also suggest some more control over the distances some of the travelling melee skills go, specifically minimums. some are kinda clunky and weird to use unless at exactly the right distance.
I agree with the point that melee and ranged should both be able to be mobile, with rare exception (some channeled skills like Perfect Strike), while attacking. The game wants to be fluid and reactive in its core, and melee having to plant their feet is against this design philosophy (and thus any skill that must sacrifice its ability to move should be compensated in some way, higher damage, etc).

I think building your reasoning off 'realism' in which it's equally real to fire while moving with a bow or crossbow as it is a melee weapon, and spells have no grounding in 'realism' and no realism discussion can be useful in that regard.
Fully agree with this! It's so strange that melee completely stops being mobile while swinging. Pausing really breaks the flow and hurts any melee build compared the range
Its completely counter intuitive.
I cant name one single other game where ranged dont "cast" spells and the melee is always more mobile but deals less damage.

if casts deal more damage, more mobile, better positioning, then melee is just flat out worse

Actually, right now crossbow attacks work without delay if you just "tap" the mouse button, so you can maintain running speed, and still execute ammunition attacks.

(If you hold your mouse button, you move like melee/mage char, and slow down during attacks/casts)

ZOOOM ZOOOOOOM ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

You know what I am saying? hehexd.
