Maps Close after death. Why?

No idea, its just horrible game design. Needs to change.

It's a bug at this point. I refuse to believe developers made this choice to tank their own game.

I just saw silk robe and was thinking. oh no.
luckly its a cheap knock off silk rope. I was thinking, why not give us a trinket that we place in inventory and when we die it resurects us after a moment. So you get one life inside a map. " It's just one of many puzzling development choices by GGG just like the rest, really: 1. Exp Penalties in a PVE game (absolutely no point to this) 2. The horribly implemented "ascendancy trials" that have nothing whatsoever to do with the ascendancy you're trying to get/progress. 3. Mapping is the ONLY end-game activity (even in POE 1). 4. No travel powers/mounts. 5. Costs for respecs instead of free respecs and an armory of some kind to quickly switch between builds. 6. The ability to skip the campaign to get to end-game during leagues. 7. Flipped asset maps (mirrored act 1-3 in 4-6) which they say is temporary, but they said the same thing in POE 1... a decade ago. 8. Trading mechanic in-game, not the broken bandaid they ported over from POE 1 just to get trade working. 9. Bot bans (which right now and for the first few weeks of every league would be roughly half the active population).
