Atlas Skilltree: At first i thought taking out the mechanics and give them standalone tree's would be a good idea, but it wasnt at all. the basic skilltree feels absolutely boring this way, and overall the specializing in the skilltree was completely killed. there is no "oh i want to farm breach and blight so i try to figure out the best skilltree specific for that" anymore. no pushing for x and blocking of y. everybody can do everything, everybody sets the same points in the same trees. there are no decisions to make anymore. diversity is dead and my skilltree will look the same patch after patch. Atlas itself: Personally i hate the fact that i cant run the maps i want anymore, i have to do the maps the atlas is generating random. in order to get to some maps i like im forced to run more maps that i dont like. on top its also random on what maps the mechanics are triggered if im not preclearing the bad ones i dont like, what again feels bad. that way half of the time feels wasted and a huge step back. Towers: Towers should be an event, a map that is exciting to do. why is there no boss in tower maps guarding the beacons? if i could change some things about towers i would instantly delete 70% of them, give the remaining towers 3 instead of 1 tablet slots and increase the range of them by 50% if cleared. on top of that allowing teleport between towers in range so we can skip some maps in order to get another point to progress further from. Biomes: I dont feel them at all. I can understand the idea of biomes but cmon, 3 trees arent a forest. make them bigger, much much bigger. right now everywhere is desert, everywhere is forest, everything is everywhere and so are most map types. a forest should be a big forest with 15 or 20 forest maps in it, not 1 or 2. same for desert or beach types or whatever. there should be alot more of that map type in a specific biome so players can make a decision about it. do they want to go into a biome or pass it in order to do a different one. atm there is no decision because biomes have no clarity and dont feel like biomes. Crafting: I know, item bases should be matter more. well, this didnt work. the most useless item base is the one i cannot do anything with but transmute befor vendoring again and again and again. until i stop picking them up because im so annoyed of the procedure. pls for god sake, give us alteration orbs back. i know, alteration spam isnt the most exciting thing. but i would rather put 200 alteration orbs on a base and interact with this white piece of "should matter" material than collect 200 of the same base in order to vendor 199 of it. this way white drops could be reduced instantly by 80%. isnt that what ggg wanted? less loot but matter more? 1 Portal: im personally fine with xp loss, i always was. but forcing 1 portal to everybody from the start is a mistake. minus portals could be an affix modifier on waystones. give people the chance to learn some bosses and mechanics. and if they know the bosses and mechanics, they can roll minus portal modifiers on waystones and increase difficulty and rewards with it. there should be a way for new players to not have only 1 try on new things in order to not lose everything. Mechanics Progress: There is some missbalancing. if players start to engage with a mechanic, no matter if breach or ritual, it should be easier to start with and getting harder over time, not the other way around. atm it takes hundrets of hours to get 300 simulacrum splinters and with bad luck not even a single invite for king. btw i dont understand why ritual splinters were taken out of the game. they would have been obviously a good way to make some progress to an invitation. right now without any luck people will not see king in the mist even a single time. Loot in general: I think it doesnt feel good atm. in my fantasy this kind of game is about killing monsters, loot their stuff and use that stuff in order to get stronger. right now i kill monsters, loot their gold(btw why do monsters have gold) and go shopping on multiple vendors in hope to find something usefull. it shouldn't be this way it doesnt feel right. on top ring and amulet bases are way to rare, if i find more unique items than ring bases something is clearly off. so, my 2 cents best regards Last bumped on Jan 8, 2025, 6:56:03 PM
