solving for resistance

Can we please get another way to solve resistances other than on gear. There are so many more cool suffixes than resist. Having to have multiple resists on almost every piece of gear is a feels bad. Sucks when you brick an item because it doesn't have 2 or 3 resists on it.

The way resistances scale is bad in this game. The fact that people even commonly refer to building resistances as "solving" them really hammers home that people consider them more of a problem than a bonus.

Resistance scaling is subtle, but actually really bad for the game with the way it currently works.

You can get max resist with 2 pieces of gear. Belt + Boots have bad suffixes other than resist so are ideal for filling these slots.

97% is the maximum resist from that. That's assuming you can find a perfectly rolled resist item. 135% is needed.
