Please add 'Highlight' On/Off toggle button for 'Rares' at Vendors except 'Gambler' (UI images)
Note: I made the mistake of using Finn (Gambler) as an example for this feature. Lol. So I edited out the 'Gambler' text for the 'Buy or Sell' text.
___________________________________________________________ Adding a 'Highlight' On/Off toggle at all Vendors would make it so much easier to purchase Rares on the fly whenever they're sold at Vendors vs. hovering over everything or typing in the Search Box (unless players choose to for a certain base type or to try to roll 'Magic' items with good mods). The reason I did not go with coloring the background for Rares is because it just didn't look that good. Adding a yellow border is more simplistic, clean, and it gets the job done. Also, while players can type in the keyword 'Rare' to highlight all Rare items, why do that every time when we can just keep the 'Highlight' button 'On' at all times? This is not about 'hand-holding'; it is about saving players time... over time. More efficient. ___________________________________________________________ When 'Highlight' is turned 'Off': OR (but we all know this would just be too big of an ask) Note: In this 'Highlight/Tier sort' version of the idea, upon turning the button 'On', the drop-down box will appear, allowing players to pick from the two options on the list. When hovering the mouse over the button again, the drop-down box will appear again. And when the button is clicked on again, it will turn 'Off'. I hope everyone likes this idea. Please support! Or just make background colour correspond to the rarity of item

There is something that performs this function (and others) but requires a little effort. You can type in what you are looking for in the search window at the bottom of the vendor UI.
Searching for rares is one thing, but the search function is as complex as for stash tabs, you can search for specific modifiers, combination of them etc. |

" I chose not to do that because it just looked bad. A border is simplistic, clean, and it gets the job done well enough. Imho. When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails.

" No effort is required for that. I know you can type 'Rare' in the Search Box and the Rares will show up. However, a toggle is way more faster, especially if players choose to keep the 'Highlight' On. The only time the Search function makes sense is when you're specifically looking for a type of mod. We should just be able to open the Vendor's window/tabs, purchase, and go on our merry way. 4 button presses to spell out 'rare' every time we use a Vendor vs. 1 mouse click forever to keep Rare items 'always' displaying. On the surface, it sounds stupid like it doesn't matter, I get it, but why not make our purchase experience quicker and easier across the board? When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. Instead of rares, I would rather have a filter for high tier rolls. A blue item with high tier rolls is more worth then a rare with low tiers. If I have a good base, I can spent a regal and hope for something good.
So if anything, please add a filter for tiers on items. Because with "rare" I can already achieve what op asks for, but I can't do the same for high tiers. Last edited by AceNightfire#0980 on Jan 8, 2025, 4:29:24 PM

" The chances of the devs adding a more sophisticated Filter system in-game for what you're asking for (like a drop-down box upon hitting the 'Highlight' button for what you want 'Filtered') is very slim to none, much less adding what I proposed in the OP. We can hope, though. P.S. I added a new UI image to showcase what you're asking for could look like in-game : ) When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. Hoping devs see this. This just feels like it's supposed to be there. A nice simple quality of life. GGG please take note of this idea.

type "rare" in that big box that says "type keywords here"
Too many people want stupid stuff. Stupid stuff takes up dev time. |

" Ever heard of 'job security'? Also, something like this is efficient, not stupid, and it will save all of us time, especially with the addition of 'tier sorting' if they add that, too, along with the highlighting feature. You know what's not smart? Players who like to argue for the sake of arguing in the forums who can't muster a counterargument beyond 'Oh, you're just lazy!' or 'Oh, you have to have the game hold your hand for you?!' every time players like me offers input that would only improve upon the game. It would be one thing to throw those remarks at me if not for the fact I have not been here for the game's closed and open betas and being 'heavily' involved in the community to help improve the game. Not all of us want to have to type in a Search Box every time we visit a Vendor when we can have a 'set-it-and-forget-it' toggle that keeps what we're strictly looking for 'On' at all times unless turned 'Off'. Look... if you don't want to use the 'Highlight'/'Tier sort' button? Then don't use it. Simple. When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails.
