Getting Kicked out of the game for a dead controller

It's super awesome...in mid battle...to have your controller die...and then get kicked out of the game, especially in mapping where you lose a portal.

There's an option to turn that off.

It's for people who are playing hardcore, and would rather lose a map than die.

Easy fix… before putting down on charge your ps5 controller that is almost dead, press PS button in the middle and it will show bottom overlay… after that you put it to charge, take out second controller and enable it. This way it won’t kick you out. Try it.

Pausing the game before connecting a new controller also works.

Doesn't help much in either case if your battery runs out though. Makes sense it's for hardcore players, if it's in the options there's no issue I guess. I haven't seen it there personally though, not that I was looking for it specifically.

then the game should simply pause, which would solve the issue for all players, HC or not.
