Mana Flask Crossbow reload

If I use a mana flask shortly after reloading my crossbow it reloads the full clip again. Not sure why it is happening now.
Edit: Ok the cause is having the secondary skill tree/weapon with attributes that enable that weapon. Imho it shouldnt affect using your first tree/weapon in that way.
