Increase in maximum ES from focus on jewel not applied

Hello,
I have a jewel that increases ES from focus by 50%, but the added ES is not applied to my Maximum energy shield. https://postimg.cc/PNcrTfHC I'll take a little republican corruption for a little republican freedom! EB only takes flat ES from gear, increases to ES will not increase your mana. Local increases to ES on gear will but global increases will not.
