Why Can't I equip this weapon?

i have 492 str and 38 dex and giants blood. this two handed mace requires 422 str and 34 dex. I have emptied my equip slot however it will not let me equip the weapon. why?

How did you calculate the mace requires 422 str and 34 dex? Neither is divisible by 3.
