Balbala's Barya and Ascent to Power (Normal)

So, i've seen several bug reports referring to similar issues with the Balbala's Barya and "Ascent to Power" quest in Normal (not cruel) which causes you to be softlocked from going to Trial of Sekhemas and doing your ascendancy.

My issue being as this is my 3rd character and I have plenty of Trial keys, I never picked up the "Balbala's Barya" that Balbala drops in Traitors Passage.
I just thought it was another key and not a quest related item.

Going on with my business and continuing the other quests and once deciding to do my Ascendancy, realizing that I cant TP to Trial of Sekhemas, neither does it show up on my map.
Yes, I've tried looking through both the waypoint and desert map, it's not there (i've crosschecked with my other characters)


What I have tried:
- I have killed Balbala 6-7 more times and the quest item doesn't drop.
- I tried not using any lootfilter incase that was the issue.
- I asked a friend to make a TP to Trial of Sekhemas and it simply says I haven't progressed my quest. (I also tried tping to him directly)
- Tried talking to all NPC's incase that would trigger something.
- I've tried restarting my game and I've tried resetting the zone, even though I'm pretty sure that will have zero affect.

Note:
- Don't confuse this with the issue that people lost the Barya in a trial run and didn't know they could talk to her to receive a new one. This is not the same issue and not related.

Solution:
- I got a 6-8 boost in Trial of Chaos with no issues. So it doesn't softlock your Ascendancy progress, but still annoying and will be extremely confusing for "new/casual" players. I've read some posts where people remade characters cause they thought they wouldn't be able to get their ascendancy at all.

This is still an issue. I'm level 70 but still can't enter the Trial of Sekhemas zone due to missing the original quest item.
To anyone having this issue, If you do the 4th ascendancy right away (Trial of Chaos) you will get all your ascendancy points.

I have the exact same problem and yet I didn't even realize that losing the quest item would permanently block Trial of Sekhemas map.

Also have this problem, they just need to let Balbala drop the quest item again if you've never unlocked it.

I didn't pick up the Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum (quest item) my first time through on this character but going back to kill the Chimera again dropped it.

same problem here I did the quest like 3 or four times she's still does not drop me the quest item so im block for doing my third ascendancy , please fix it asap
