Crafting Bench meets Necropolis - controlable RNG

Yes, there are many crafting suggestions, but perhaps this one brings something new?

Necropolis in PoE1 wasn’t bad, but it had two main issues:

"
1. Rares weren’t as much of a problem in PoE1 because there was a fully functional crafting bench with predictable outcomes and enough rare drops to begin with.

2. Collecting and placing bodies was tedious. Players had to gather corpses, go to the graveyard, position them, and only then start the ritual—too much hassle for crafting.

I propose a crafting bench that incorporates the core mechanics of Necropolis but with improved usability. Here’s how it could work:

"
1. Players place a base item on the crafting bench.

2. They can choose which modifier categories they want to target (e.g., Physical, Melee, Ranged, Defense, Elemental).

3. The bench displays the number and type of orbs required for crafting each chosen category.

4. Once the required orbs are inserted, pressing "Craft" initiates the process.

Like Necropolis, the final modifiers on the item would be strongly influenced by the selected categories. While it wouldn’t guarantee perfect outcomes, it would make crafting more predictable and less frustrating compared to the current system. And if the modifiers are good, then divines come in handy to roll the stats.

Also, it would even be useful right from the start, when running through the campaign. I could place a base amulet, choose some modifiers I need (defense mods, elemental mods to increase my chance on getting resistances and life) and then some alcs/regals/exaltets and something useful will come out. Probably not perfect, but also not trash.
