Assistance Required for Linking Accounts in POE2

I am writing to request your assistance regarding an issue I have encountered while trying to connect my account across different platforms.

I have been playing POE2 on my PS5 using the this account, which is already linked to my Sony ID registered with the same email address. Recently, I purchased a game package to play on my PC. I redeemed the code on Steam and registered a Steam ID using the same email address.

However, when I attempted to connect my Steam ID to my account, I received the following error message:
"You cannot add this login method to this account. You cannot merge two accounts with the same login methods."

I would like to continue playing the game on my PC while maintaining my existing account and characters. Could you please advise me on the necessary steps to resolve this issue?
