Blueflame Bracers disable ignite

There're weird interactions between Blueflame bracer and forced ignite effect
- when wearing with Radiant Grief, the ignite from the helmet was disable
- when use with Firewall skill, firewall stop dealing damage
- when use with Incinerate skill, exposure still apply but deal no damage
- when use with Solar orb skill, Solar orb deal only explode damage

I think this is a bug as it does not convert burning damage to cold but rather stop dealing damage.

In PoE1 only hits are able to ignite, now we also have that "Ignites as though dealing X fire damage" mechanic, and I'm not sure how it works exactly.

Burning damage is DoT, it can't be converted, only hits can. However, according to the info you provided, these "phantom hits", through which some skills ignite, can be converted too. With Blueflame Bracers such skills ignite as though dealing X cold damage, and cold damage can't ignite normally. Infernalist's notable Bringer of Flame and The Three Dragons unique helmet should help, as they allow cold damage to ignite.

Since the mechanic is new and hasn't been explained by the devs, I can't say for sure whether it's working as intended. I personally would never expect for conversion to apply there - no hints towards the skills imitate hits in the stat descritpion. Who knows, maybe they infilct Ignite the way Blight or Scorching Ray from PoE1 apply their debuffs, but with tricky magnitude calculation?

It becomes extra confusing when you're aware of the similar stat of poisoning bow attacks, which mentions hits: "Does not Hit, but Poisons enemies as though Hitting them". And while this wording is open to interpritation, you can at least assume correctly it works like a "hit that never was". With these two stats in mind you may get a wrong impression they work differently on a basic level: if one works like a hit that doesn't deal hit damage, the other shouldn't be related to hits. But seems like they work the same, and the wording differs only because unlike spells, attacks hit innately.
