Proceed deeper into the Marchinarium Bug

I am currently stuck at the gate to proceed deeper into the Marchinarium. I have the core but I can not get the door to open. I have left the zone, rebooted my computer twice. When I log back in the small core is laying on the ground I can pick it up but nothing happens when I try to open the door - currently can not procced further into the quest.
