The Madness of Teleportation Stones... I did the count
I think GGG has completely lost his mind.
Given the too too too low loot rate of maps, and especially of maps of a level at least equivalent to the maps that we travel, I made a summary table. The only way to get cards is quickly buying from other players who have more luck and since we do not loot much in currency, the purchase option at Doriani which only offers T1... at 5.000 Gold each. I am at the validation of T5 and even if I have selected the points of the atlas to loot higher levels.. the loot rate is way too low... so I have to buy or spend 15,000 hours dreaming of being able to validate the necessary levels. Thanks to the forge, you can increase the level of the stones at a rate of 3 stones for each stone of a higher level. Here is what that represents: Tier ____ T1 needed ______ Gold needed 2 ________ 3 ______________ 15.000 Gold 3 ________ 9 ______________ 45.000 Gold 4 ________ 27 _____________ 135.000 Gold 5 ________ 81 _____________ 405.000 Gold 6 ________ 243 ____________ 1.215.000 Gold 7 ________ 729 ____________ 3.645.000 Gold 8 ________ 2.187 __________ 10.935.000 Gold 9 ________ 6.561 __________ 32.805.000 Gold 10 _______ 19.683 _________ 98.415.000 Gold 11 _______ 59.049 _________ 295.245.000 Gold 12 _______ 177.147 ________ 885.735.000 Gold 13 _______ 531.441 ________ 2.657.205.000 Gold 14 _______ 1.594.323 ______ 7.971.615.000 Gold 15 _______ 4.782.969 ______ 23.914.845.000 Gold 16 _______ 14.348.907 _____ 71.744.535.000 Gold At my stage, if I want a single level 5 stone, I have to fill 81 T1 stones plus the other floors that lead me to the stone of the necessary level. In addition, the forge requires a lot of heavy manipulations much less practical than going to an NPC for a recipe... Pure pure pure waste of time and above all maximum frustration. In addition to all the problems of lack of loot for everything, the absence of a crafting table, the completely abusive difficulty, the fact that we lose all our portals when we die and therefore the possibility of looting possible stones, the absence of NPC recipes, and this horrible trial n°3 that a lot of players hate so much it is undoable... I was not aware until now this game is intended for masochists. I really wonder if you at GGG have any idea what the word "GAME" means... Know that many players have a life and a job in reality and that playing is not signing up for a second job... and unpaid job ... frustration is not fun! Please increase the map loot and good tier!!!! Thanks a lot! Regards Last bumped on Jan 8, 2025, 6:16:24 PM

How are you not sustaining maps? Just regal them or alch them and go. Especially with a couple atlas passives. Use your better rolled waystones on boss nodes and you get like 3 maps minimum from the boss alone.

Your deffinetly doing something wrong.
Either with your atlas, your towers, the wsy you roll your maps, or something else. I get so many waypoints im litterally vendoring them for gold eve tho I have 25mil gold cause its not worth the time to ttade them. Last edited by Nyon#6673 on Jan 6, 2025, 4:17:36 PM

" That's what I do, all the maps I make are yellow and I even use alchemy but nothing to do, I loot excessively few levels at least equal or higher... I may really have no luck but there... it's abusive |

Yeah weird. Only time I ever ran low was like tier 2 for a bit. Instead of reforging then that high is probably just better to run more T1 or whatever lower tiers you have.
I could see it being nice if he started selling T6 and T11 consistently once you got to them as a bit more cushion for bad luck. |

Unironically, you should not have to buy maps from Doryani unless you're like me, hit T15s, sold every map you had under T8, and leveled a new character to maps. You should also not be constantly reforging them into higher tier maps unless you have an abundance.
If you're at T5 maps and you're unlucky so you ran out of T5s, you COULD reforge T4s into T5s, but if you do that constantly you'll eventually run dry. Run one or two T4s and you're there. Hell, if you're on T5s, ran out, and you dropped a T6, you SHOULD run it. You have a significantly higher chance of getting more T5s, and even T6 & 7s in there. For reference: I have never bought a map from Doryani (outside of that one use case) or a player, and have been running them BLUE. As for the gold calculation... that's nonsensical. I'm not going to double check it since I'm sure it's right, but not a soul on this planet is buying T1 maps from Doryani and upgrading them to T15. Doriani must sell stones, for example -2, -3 from your max completed map. It will be fail-protection for new players, who dont know how low drop rate by default.

" I'm not really a new player, but in POE 1, I never had so much trouble finding maps. In addition, kirac sold maps of the necessary levels in addition to his missions, we could still continue to validate maps and advance. And well before there was Zana which also allowed us to progress correctly for the maps... In PEO 2, it's a real disaster... a total lack of lucidity on the part of GGG! |

Yep, reforging maps is godawful boring. Was much better to throw them into the vendor quickly.
" Agree. Didn't have this problem in POE1. |
