Trouble with Steam account linked to an old account

Hello,
After purchasing PoE2 early access I redeemed my steam key on my account and downloaded the game. Apparently my steam account is linked to an old PoE1 account which I no longer use. You may be able to merge your accounts by going to your account management page here and then connecting your account login methods.
