Can Poe2 members use the trade feature?

Hi, I'm new here, sorry if these questions seem simple.
I've never played POE1 and was interested by the trade feature. I've created an account here, and under profile it says "characters" but it's empty and I see no way to add characters? Am I missing something basic please? Or is everyone that is using the trade feature do they all have POE1? Any help appreciated, especially if anyone can provide a breakdown of what to do for a laymen. Many thanks! Last bumped on Jan 6, 2025, 9:29:34 AM

It looks like you've created a new empty account. If you want to use the trade website, you should log in using the same credentials you use to play. For example, if you play via Steam, you would want to log in using the Steam button on the login page. Once you're logged into the correct account (you should see your account name with the four-digit discriminator at the top left of the page - at the moment you aren't able to see Path of Exile 2 characters on the website, unfortunately) you'll be able to use the trade website's direct whisper feature. Ah OK, yes this explains why my account here just has dancole2006#2594 which was created due to my email vs matching my account # ingame. OK I'll try Steam now, thanks for such a fast reply! Appreciated

Thanks JC_GGG, I did as you explained and now the # Account matches, it also shows my current Microtransaction balance accurately.
As you explained, I can't see my characters, but this doesn't restrict me from using the trade feature correct? |

At this time, Path of Exile 2 characters do not show up on the website. This shouldn't prevent you from using the Trade website features, however.
