Regular latency spikes in game
Hello everyone!
I live in Vietnam and have been playing PoE 2 for a month. I was completing the campaign with a friend, mostly on European servers: Milan, London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, where the latency was around 200-250ms, which was playable. For endgame content, I play on servers near my location: Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. The usual latency is 40-60ms, but from time to time, especially on maps and trials, it spikes up to 1000ms. This happens on almost every map or every other map now. The latency spikes occur only when moving the character or casting spells. I assume that when entering an instance, the game creates a separate server for you, and in my case, it seems to choose a different server. If I log out and wait about 10-15 minutes for the servers to reset, the issue temporarily disappears. However, after a while, the spikes return. I play using a wired connection directly from the wall socket. I've already tried resetting all internet settings on my computer, restarting the router, and even turning the power off and on in the apartment, but none of that helps. I never have ping issues in other games, only in PoE 2. Since Singapore and Hong Kong are physically close to me, it doesn’t seem right that the connection isn’t working as it should. Does anyone know how to fix this? I’m just unable to play anymore, there’s not a single day without lag. Regards! Just entered Sekhemas trial — the first floor was fine, but on the second floor, this issue started. It’s literally unplayable.
