Buffer Underflow Crash

I was in the second zone in Act 3 normal in PoE2. I received a 'buffer underflow' error message with no other information and only an Ok button which closed the game.

Now I'm receiving a buffer underflow error every time I launch the game and click login.

I ran a file verification and I was able to make it back in to the game, but received the same error and crash within a few minutes.

Playing on Steam.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
