Delirium: how does it work?
Hi guys,
i figured out most of the endgame activities by now but im still confused about the rules of Delirium. Maybe some vet can help me out. I'm unsure about: - Delirium seems repeatedly bugged and simply won't end. Is there anyway to avoid this? (it also sometimes seems to end randomly but usually it just lasts) - Is Delirium actually timed same as breach or does it just keep going as long as you stick to the fog? I seem to only get the timer when i step outside of fog. - Sometimes the fog stops expanding at some random spots on the map. Last time there was a "spliter" to open outside of the fog, which is what ended up ending my encounter. Is the fog moved by the player, moving by itself or should it simply cover the whole map? (also: does the fog direction give you an indication of where to go next?) - If you manually end Delirium, do you get a worse loot roll? - What does the roll on oils depend on? First I thought its maybe monsters killed but I often got only oils from the lowest two buckets, while scaling up to 5 oils. I recently finally got to try a t18 delirium map, i ran out of delirium on three oils and then all three drops were bottom tier. So it's not strictly monster level either. Is it maybe time in delirium + map level + magic find? Anyone know whats most important? Thats about it. I'm mainly confused about (a) how the fog moves and what triggers it staying open/closing and (b) what the loot rolls depend on. Last bumped on Jan 17, 2025, 10:55:07 AM

I would expect that it works basically the same as POE1 Delirium. Rather than retype everything I will link the wiki. I don't personally know the answers to your questions but it feels the same as POE1 to me.

it works like the screen turns black and white and some extra mobs come out and freeze your game. if you’re lucky you get to pick some crap up off the ground. the devs refer to this as “end game”.
