Unable to use playstation account through steam

I have been unable to get my playstation account to link to my steam account (for PoE 2). I never even wanted to create a new steam account but was not given the option to sign in to my existing playstation account.
Now I have added an email to my PSN POE2 account but when I go to link the steam account it says "you cannot link two accounts with the same login method". Please help! I just wanna play this on PC and I've wasted so much time trying to get it to work. Last bumped on Jan 6, 2025, 6:47:05 PM

As an update - I attempted to download the launcher and sign in that way but it now says I haven't purchased early access on that account. What an awful experience this has been.

As jarlaxelb mentions, you'll need to obtain a PC access key if you also wish to play on PC for the early access. You can do this by purchasing one of the website Early Access Packs, or by being given an extra key that someone else had received. I hope this clarifies things for you!

I have already purchased it on PC. That's the whole issue.
