Passives not working with Controlled Metamorphosis

The Jewel seems to be not working for me but works for others. I have the large radius ring and none of the passives highlighted by the jewel become activated and it actually subtracts the small passives within the radius I have attributed points into. Is anyone else having this problem or am I doing something wrong?

Same issue, it's like unallocating the already connected small nodes. This is costing me attributes and breaking my gear.

Still happening. Medium-Large Ring. Tried to unallocate it, equip the jewel, then allocate, but still doesnt work.
