Couch Coop on PS5 cannot play with other online players

Couch Coop Ps5 Players have their friends list become empty. And anyone you try to invite can't see the invite, and vice versa. Can't even join a public party as you either get kicked or the party disbands. Don't think this is intended.

How to recreate.

1. Create a PS5 couch coop session.

2. Try to join or invite another online player.

3. Try to view the friends list.

4. Try to create a public party and have another online account find it.

Its like couch coop players are just invisible to other online players, which really dampens the experience. Can't play with friends. The weird thing is that couch coop on PC works just fine. Only happens on a coop console session.

BUMP.

We have another PS% group we want to play with ( 4 players total) but it will not let us play with them unless its 1 player each. We also could not figure out how to have 2 separate saves as my GF logs into her profile but her character sems to be saved on my profile.
BUMP!

We started playing POE2 on PS5, mostly because our friends play the game. The friends are PC & XBOX users.

While couch coop is a great and I play it a lot with my partner at home.
We observed the following.

1. While on couch coop, we are not able to see the friends list.
2. Our invite to party does not reach our friends.
3. we cannot see the party invites out friends send us.
4. Joining public parties in couch coop mode result in an automatic kickout.

This sadly makes playing path of exile a bit lonely that you cannot play with your friends and your partner at the same time. ;)

While all of the above features work on single player mode, it would be great to fix this in couch coop and make it truly crossplay & online multiplayer.

That’s why it’s not working for me!

My friends can play on the Xbox couch coop with online friends since launch

So unlucky! Devs please don’t abandon PS5
