Copper Citadel Completed Boss on Death Explosion kills me, final quest incompletable?

Hi all,
So I found the copper citadel. Juiced a 15 and ran it and beat it the first try! Unfortunately the final boss (act 2 final boss) has an on death effect and exploded and killed me. Leaving the "fragments" I need to complete the final quest on the floor and the "Copper Citadel" node completed. My Copper Citadel quest is now completed (no rewards) and I don't have the fragments i need for the larger overarching final quest.

GGG am I completely done?

So to anyone who had this happen there is hope. You can find more of any of the citadels if you continue looking. I've now found two iron and one copper.
