Slitherspitter damage is bugged, getting one shot

These white mobs are still making tons of damage and can one shot. I am attempting a lvl 2 waystone with area 66 while i am 72 and getting one shot by the snakes. Its insane how a lvl 66 white squad of 3 mobs can kill a 4k hp bloodmage with 3k shield.
