Game crashing
Not sure what else I can try, it's so frustrating.
Sometimes takes 10+ tries just to launch the game. Game crashes every second map opening or map enter. Sometimes crashes inside the map and then takes 10 tries to launch again. Reinstalled game twice Reinstalled windows Switched Nvidia backround in game off and on Changed in game setting from dx12 to vulkan 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700KF 3.40 GHz 32gb ram 3060 gpu (upgrading to 4070 in a day or two) Not sure what else I can try and do Is there any devs thread about it, is it known issue and they will try and fix it, or is it just me? Intel has announced an industry-wide issue with Core 13th and 14th generation i5, i7, and i9 processors. I'd say swap CPU to a design with no microcode issue before GPU. 3060 should run it fine and if you get any 3d video at all anywhere else, it's probably fine. If any other big graphics games work your PSU probably fine.

Have you tried turning off multithreading in the game options?

I swapped GPU last night for 4070 and it's way way better- now game doesn't crash as often as it was, but still get random crash now and then

EDIT: I was kind a happy not crashing so much until now:D Crashing every map opening again, launching game 5 times until it goes By switching off multithreading fps drops crazy so not an option Give up Hopefully GGG can release some patch to fix it. |

AI Overview
Learn more A "KERNELBASE.dll" error on an Intel CPU usually indicates a critical system file corruption, often linked to a hardware failure, driver issues, or a corrupted Windows system, potentially causing your computer to crash or malfunction; seeing this error with an Intel CPU means there's a problem with the core operating system functions that rely on this DLL file. What does KERNELBASE.dll do? Core System Functions: This DLL file contains essential functions for basic Windows operations like memory management, thread management, and system calls, making it crucial for smooth system operation. Possible Causes of KERNELBASE.dll Error with Intel CPU: Hardware Failure: Faulty RAM: Damaged RAM modules can lead to system instability and DLL errors. Overheating CPU: High CPU temperatures can cause system crashes and unexpected errors. Failing Hard Drive: A failing hard drive can corrupt system files including KERNELBASE.dll. Software Issues: Corrupted Windows System Files: Damaged Windows system files due to improper updates or virus attacks can cause this error. Outdated Drivers: Outdated or incompatible device drivers, especially for storage devices, can lead to conflicts. Virus/Malware Infection: Malware can corrupt system files like KERNELBASE.dll. Recent Software Installation: Installing a program that conflicts with existing system files can trigger this error. How to Troubleshoot: Restart your computer: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches. Run System File Checker (SFC): Open Command Prompt as administrator. Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. This will scan for corrupted system files and attempt to repair them. Check for Windows Updates: Install any pending Windows updates as they often include system file fixes. Update Device Drivers: Update drivers for your storage devices, especially if you recently installed new hardware. Scan for Malware: Run a thorough scan with your antivirus software to check for malware infections. Check for Overheating: Ensure proper cooling on your computer by cleaning fans and checking for dust buildup. System Restore: If the issue started recently, consider restoring your system to a previous working state. When to Seek Professional Help: Hardware Failure Suspected: If you suspect a hardware failure (like failing RAM or hard drive), consider getting your computer checked by a technician. Advanced Troubleshooting Required: If you're unable to resolve the issue with basic troubleshooting steps, consult a computer expert for further assistance. BIOS update, sounds like you didn't or unaware of intel's issue. If the BIOS update does not work you ran chip too long without corrected microcode. RIP cpu |

I see loads of speculation of rams cpu gpu faults etc.
Just wonder if it would be cpu or ram fault, would it not freeze/ crash my hole system? Because it seems like it only effects poe2 and nothing else. I run discord in background, run some youtube or twitch on other screen- and none of these are effected- they are running smoothly during poe2 crash. That makes me think it only effects the game |
