Anyone know how ignite mechanics interact with dual wielding? (Resolved)
Currently messing around with a giant's blood dual-wield titan trying to do ignite damage for bossing. Question is: when i dual wield, the ignite damage in skill window shows up as a main-hand ignite damage and off-hand ignite damage.
Anyone know if this means 2 separate instance of ignite is applied when i ignite something or if only 1 instance of ignite is applied that combines both the main-hand and off-hand ignite damage? If it is the case that 2 separate instances of ignite is applied, does it means i'm effectively nerfing my own damage by dual-wielding because ignites don't stack and only the bigger instance of ignite is taking effect? Appreciate any help with this. Edit: Did some testing myself. In almost every attempt, despite the bigger initial hit when dual wielding, the ignite dps is significantly less than when using skills without dual-wield. It seems even if the skill used appear to only do 1 initial impact (like perfect strike or HotG), the game still counts it as a main-hand instance and an off-hand instance. Meaning dual-wielding in fact nerfed my ignite damage. Last edited by boomshakalaka#5026 on Dec 29, 2024, 3:49:32 AM Last bumped on Dec 29, 2024, 2:39:14 AM
