Wrong DPS Numbers In Gem UI?
I'm not at all an expert in the game's item stats system but I have a case which for the life of me I can't see is correct and wonder if someone can perhaps tell me what I'm missing.
I have two low level bows whose tooltips show these numbers: 1) Phys Dmg: 34-69 DPS: 1.19 Ele Dmg: 6-10 (cold), 2-40 (light) 2) Phys Dmg: 45-74 DPS: 1.20 no ele dmg. Looking at the "Bow Shot" 'gem' in the Gem UI: 1) DPS: 672 2) DPS: 594 HOW? The only thing I change to get these numbers is the equipped bow, all the skills and supports and quiver remain the same. Both bows' DPS is the same basically, bow (2) has a higher DPS range so why do the 'Bow Shot' numbers get displayed indicating the bow with the lower DPS range is almost 80DPS higher? All the gem numbers are likewise bigger for bow (1) than bow (2) even though bow (2) also has +2 to Projectile skills. [edit] Yes, I realise bow (1) has ele dmg but the DPS value for Escape Shot whose toltip says it converts Phys DPS is also higher for bow (1) even though the bow's Phys Dmg is lower, as does Lightning Arrow whose number is also bigger for (1). Have you watched it while you use the skills?
All the numbers change as skills trigger. | |
(34 + 69 + 6 + 10 + 2 + 40) / 2 = 80.5 average Damage per Hit on bow 1
80.5 * 1.19 ~= 95.8 "base weapon DPS" (45 + 74) / 2 = 59.5 average Damage per Hit on bow 2 59.5 * 1.2 = 71.4 "base weapon DPS" 95.8 / 71.4 * 100 ~= 134 -> bow 1 has approximately 134% the DPS of bow 2, and on Attack Skills, +Levels are "just ok". That flat Elemental damage is so big, idk why you're ignoring it :) Last edited by Vipermagi#0984 on Dec 27, 2024, 5:34:25 PM
