Complete it once and move on
Once I accepted PoE2 was the sort of game you complete once and move on I felt a sense of relief. I intended to no life this game but the campaign followed by Cruel is a slog and I mean mainly the boss fights...and it's not fun enough to do multiple times.
There are no engaging systems to make you want to come back and do it all again. I didn't get any uniques that inspired a new build. PoE1 was infinitely repayable because there was investment in basically every system of the game from gems to crafting to content. PoE2 on the other hand, and I accept it's EA, but at a foundational level it doesn't have the same replayability. Last bumped on Dec 27, 2024, 2:40:30 PM

Yes, I think that without fairly systemic titanic changes, this is also my sentiment.
I dislike most of the gameplay compared to that of PoE1. Unpopular opinion maybe but there it is. Having said that PoE1 has had many years of iteration and has moved well beyond where it was when I started playing it. So, time and iterative direction will decide. |

" They've gone down a path to simplify things for new players but in the process taken out the things that made it fun and replayable. Whether they want to continue that to have a broader appeal time will tell. For now we have PoE1 so hopefully it continues to get support. |
