Should Cost Multipliers of Support Gems apply to Spirit Gems?

If you notice, you can add support gems to something like AA without increasing it's cost. I currently use frost nexus and glaciation for experimental fun.

I reported this as a potential bug but I also wonder how others feel about it. I would like to apply the cost multiplier or at least have an indicator that it doesn't apply to spirit. I only make this statement because I've seen the effort in NPE.

Think that is already the case its just not 100% obvious, i think some support gems mentions reservation increase.
