GGG has to do something about TRADE BOTS!!!
Its literalli impossible to quickly buy anything....
Nobody answers, or if they accept party invite then they just quickly exit it. Becasue most of them are bots!! This situation is DISGUSTING! We need buyout option! Last bumped on Dec 27, 2024, 12:29:06 PM

" Actually, they probably aren't bots but sellers who refuse to accept invites as that's not the way this trading system works .. buyers DON'T do the inviting, SELLERS do! Last edited by TheRealKraggy#0533 on Dec 27, 2024, 5:07:22 AM

the trade bots are the ones that answer immediately and make the quickest trades.
no one is risking their account using a bot in order to not trade. if you are messaging someone for a trade then you shouldnt really be sending them a party invite, waiting for them to invite you is the norm. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

If you're sending trade invites to sellers, you're the problem.

the problem is nobody from the list is answering, cant you understand???

They're not bots and if you whisper someone who listed the item few seconds ago they'll be thinking they listed it too cheap and dont invite.
As a buyer you don't invite, they might be afk or busy, inviting as a buyer is annoying and canidate for ignore list. Also try to not whisper the very cheapest, pay a little bit more than the lowest listed price, then you'll see trading actually works pretty good |

Yeah, the problem is not bots. Most of those aren't bots probably. For the lack of a better way to say it, the problem is you. Not your fault, that it is, but yeah. Trading in PoE has a kind of etiquette and process and if you wasn't taught how, it will seem like is not working properly.
1º You never send the invite. The person might be on a hard map, and even die because you made a distracting window pop up in his screen. That is a big deal. If the person didn't answer the item might already be sold or she is AFK try again later if the item is still on the market website after a f5. 2º If the item is just posted or if it is too cheap to be true it might as well be. It can be a uninformed person about the real value receiving a million PMs to be able to answer anyone. Or it could even be a price fixer. Someone that puts the item at a lower price to try bait people to put the same kind of item at similar prices and then buy from them. Kinda shitty, but unavoidable in a free market like this. 3º Always be nice. Not rly the most helpful to your ends meet, and definitely not the most followed "rule", but is always nice to say or receive a Thank you even if is a auto message from a overlay. " I understand very well. PoE trade is always this way. If you are trying to buy the cheapest item, chances are the person listing it just got spammed by 20+ instant messages from people using the Live Search option, and has either sold it already or is in the process of relisting at a higher price. It's also likely the cheapest listings are by price fixers. There are 300k people playing. Trade is going to be rough. My suggestion is to bid on items further down the list, and a little more reasonably priced. You'll get responses, I promise you. There are a few things to consider:

People are likely listing items at low prices, get a message quickly, and then realize they posted it too cheap so they ignore your message. With this being early access its hard to assess the value of items currently. Try messaging people that have had their item posted for longer.
Also you should just be whispering them. Once they get a moment and they want to do the trade they will invite you. If they don't respond in a minute or two then they're either afk or no longer willing to trade. |

Bots always respond to trades almost instantly.
I used to joke in poe1 that id prefer if all my sellers were bots because it was always easier than dealing with players. You arent getting invites because you are messaging real players who are too lazy for small sum trades or afk. Bots basically ran the currency exchange before we had one, probably the only reason we got one in game. Last edited by BossOfThisGym#2062 on Dec 27, 2024, 12:32:14 PM
