Controller won't stop vibrating after defeating Mektul in Molten Vault

My standard Xbox controller would not stop rumbling, even after teleporting to town, and taking a waypoint to an entirely new zone.

If I went to Xbox Home, controller stopped vibrating. If I pressed Xbox button for system menu, controller would stop vibrating. Opening the game again and the vibrating would continue

Had to force close game and reopen to end controller vibration.
