Alt Behaviour in Inventory and Stash

Alt keeping only the first item tooltip up is pretty useless. The only time this behaviour makes sense is for non-item alt interactions.
Right now you have to hit/release alt on EACH item to scroll across them and view their mod tiers, etc. PoE1 doesn't require this extra press and holding alt allows you to see the extra details WHILE holding alt and hovering an items, it is not "selected" like it seems to be in PoE2.
