Meditate not channeling or going above normal max ES

I just did the Trials and took the Invoker Ascendancy with Meditate. I'm level 27 and I have 324/324 ES, but when I meditate it just does the initial animation and stops, not channeling my ES back to full if damaged nor over-capping it. It does not channel the spell like I see in videos or work in any way shape or form. I do NOT have Eternal Youth or any major passive tree points that should interact in a weird way with it. I'm playing HC and this was a major part of my strategy, so I'm a bit disappointed and confused why I see it working for others but not for myself.

Any consideration to this issue is highly appreciated!

I did want to mention that I took a debuff in the Trials that gave me 0/0 ES while taking them which would cause meditate not to work (I took it initially with that debuff still on in the end room), but I attempted to respec my ascendency after and go back to meditate with 324/324, and it is still broken for me. Might be a place to look if all else fails so wanted to mention it.

And like all idiots, my bug was due to assuming the skill channeled by itself. I hold the key and it works - Hope this helps someone else who spends 30min reeling through information only to figure out that they need to hold down the key. LOVE THIS SPELL NOW.

well actually it helped me. i did not know you had to hold it not click it. is there any way to make it where you only have to click and not hold or is this how it is?
