When will ANY poe game STOP BURNING GPU ? DEVS PLEASE LOOK.

Allright listen, First let me tell you that the Title of this topic might seem angry but im not.

I love Path Of Exile 1 and im Currently playing the new game, and i probably will bounce back and forth to poe1 and poe2 during leagues.

But i got a problem, before i write down my computer information just wanted to clear these stuff from the get go.

Not many people can afford a good pc and its not a shame, i have been using the same ' laptop ' over 10 years and im able to play most of the current FPS, RPG games without any problem. ( i get mostly 60+ or 80+ fps in most of the famous and new games)

my problem is my GPU heat, because its a laptop, im trying to take a good care of my pc.


Processsor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7820HK CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz

RAM : 32 GB

Graphics Card : Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1080

Windows 10 pro 64x


I mostly play games in my settings with Nvadia whisper mode and i lock my fps on games to 60 - 70 and 80.

If i dont do that, my pc fps gets around 120 and it burns my GPU heat into 95 +

in my poe 1 and poe 2 settings its usually the same,

windowed fullscreen
VUlkan
1920x1080
no vsync
upscale mode NIS (in poe2)
Max render resolution %56 - 1067 x 600

Everything is low,
my foreground fps capped to 56 ( seems smooth and i have no fps issue by the way )

no Triple buffering, No dynamic culling
and i use engine multithreading,


I played a ranger lightning arrow

in my hideout without doing nothing my gpu heat was 75
in game playing the same too. ( only goes to 78 with screen full of mobs)

but i started to play Poison Concoction and my heat went up to 85 and 88 in fights with monster density, it will probably go higher and reach 100 if i keep spamming the skill.

i also played barbarian endgame + infernalist witch hexblast endgame, my gpu heat is only 75 even the most density of mobs and fights during the maps.

But Poison Concoction just destroy everything.

in poe 1 with headhunter and a very endgame character with loads of mobs, i only reach 75c heat with broken mechanics and infinite attack speed, explosions, etc

i understand its a new game, still developing and should look good feel good etc etc,

Game is off the chars btw, it looks great everything is awesome and cool.

'but' does it have to burn my pc just because i play another character with a different skill ?

i just updated my laptops thermal paste today, went into game and played for a while.

now in my hideout i get 63c gpu heat ( was 75c ) and during gameplay with my other characters are significantly lowered and my pc + game is smooth im loving it,

Sometimes my fps drops into 30-35 with denstiy of mobs for a couple of seconds i dont care i enjoy the game and its more then playable.

'BUT' when i log on and play my Poison Coc character,

I STILL GOES HIGH UP TO 85, its like every skill i use makes my pc heat 1 c more, and i feel like its gonna lower my computers health ( i know my pc is very old )
i could just one day go into a big map with investment and while i kill monsters around i feel afraid of making my pc go kabooom.

In poe 1 some skills do that, but its poe 2, its a fully new developing great game.


Please take an account of what im trying to say devs, make us an option to lower the particules etc etc.

In game settings the textures wont go lowers then medium just like in poe 1, ( in poe 1 you gotta take a text file open it find texture options and lower it but it doesnt seem to work in poe 2 )

I believe its an important issue not only belong to me, just because i have an older pc.

most of the people having problem with fps while using the latest graphics cards etc etc.

I dont want to burn my pc, I dont want to burn my future updated more then enough pc just because i play in high graphics and throw some poison bottle and make everything boom in screen or cover it with a green gas.

note:( IM NOT USING ANY MTX )

Please Devs, Please fix this issue... game looks great. YES, is it the greatest hack and slash game out there ? YES

Can't we get an option to lower particles from skills ? or make and MTX that doesnt burn pc...

Any suggestions and help ?

( yes i use cooler on laptop, yes i keep my desk clean with no dust, and yes i just changed my thermal paste and clean everything today )

GGG is on holiday vacation. Yes the whole company. Give them time, they will respond eventually. It might be another 1-2 weeks considering the volume of support requests.

Allright, didn't know that GGG is on holiday,

anyway i give an update to matter,

i did spend my 3 entire day making builds and i end up playing Poison C again because i had no divines left, + i didnt like the other builds i wanted to play poison...

no im just playing, trying to have fun, new thermals for my laptop, new laptop cooler.

i hope nothing happens furthermore.. wish there is an option to lower the effects of '' OUR '' skills... i can even buy mtx for that if its not going to burn my pc anymore..

lol its okey, knowing someone there reading is always good,

this Poison C and Decompose skills are making GPU heat + making game interractions impossible.


I just cannot see the ground %90 percent of the time while i run around :D
