Horrible screen flashing in towns and in instances with specific mtx

I had been getting horrible flashing where almost all of my screen will go white a few times in a row in towns, and eventually started getting it in instances too. I took off my mtx (the full Jamanra armor set (floating version and back attachment included) and the radiant halo thing) and the flashing in instances stopped, so I assume it's to do with one of these mtx, and the times I saw it in town were when someone else was wearing that set before I put it on myself.
