Bow Fire Additional Arrow makes tooltip DPS unreliable?
I folks,
Some bows fire an additional arrow. But does it make the DPS tooltip unreliable? If i got 2 "5'000 dps" bows in the tooltip. One does fire an additional arrow, the other doesn't. Do they do the same damage? Or one of the is double damage? If not, how do i do compare 2 bows? Last bumped on Jan 9, 2025, 6:54:08 PM

The DPS tooltip is unreliable in general. It currently has a ton of bugs & limitations. Especially for perks you take on the passive tree. For example, I got an "increased Curse Duration" node on the tree today but the tooltip for the curse still showed the default duration. I had to go manually check that it was working properly. The only way to really test your damage is to go hit a boss and compare.
For the Dualstring bow, yes both arrows do the same damage it's a premium bow. Last edited by FoosballGG#7971 on Dec 25, 2024, 3:24:19 AM

Were you looking at the gem's tooltip for your curse? It should update in the expanded info when you click the arrow.
As for the various forms of multishot. Its my understanding dps is based on a single hit. |

" If the tooltip shows 24K, is it 24k*2 ? Or both arrows are included in that 24K tooltip ? I'm confused because i rolled a single string Composite bow with 487 dps And im debating using my Dual String bow that does 340 dps. I'm running infinite lightning arrow build but im pretty devided right now since we dont have Dummies to test out our things and we dont have anything to actually SCREEN the dps output in real time in game. |

A damage log tab would be huge.

I thought second arrow doesn't increase damage, only area of effect. Like, you can't damage same target twice with one shot even if both arrow look to hit target.
