I Found a solution how to fix poe 2 from crashing my pc..

If your PC just shuts down a few seconds after you start POE
you may want to try this...


Befor my fix the system will crash around 5-15 sec after the game launches
and the whole PC will just shut down... So this is how my POE 2 launch started. I had non stop insta crashes till i came up with this one..


Right click on PathOfExileSteam.exe and PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe properties on both (not the shortcut but directly inside where the game is installed) then go to "compatibility mode" and . And "Run this programm in compatibility mode for: (choose windows8) and thats it.. I never had a crash again EVER after this and i have almost 200 hours of gameplay.

This did not work for me. Only thing that works is making sure to turn off the first two threads (core 1).

I never comment on Reddit but anyone struggling the only thing that worked for me was to change from DirectX 12 to Vulcan, I have tried everything else but this is the only thing that worked.

This worked, thanks. I haven't had a freeze/crash yet where I would otherwise have one every 2-3 hours. Maybe it's pure coincidence, but perhaps someone else could validate.
