Skill Tree Planning
I often forget which passive skills I want to prioritize, which leads to wasted time planning my next steps. To address this, I propose the following improvements to the skill tree interface:
Preselecting Skills for Automatic Allocation: Allow players to preselect passive skills they want to allocate in advance. For instance, by holding a modifier key (like Shift + Click) and clicking on a skill node, it would mark it as "next in line." When leveling up, the game would automatically allocate points to these preselected nodes. Shortest Path Auto-Selection: Enable the ability to click on a skill node that isn't connected to the currently allocated tree. The system would calculate and highlight the shortest path to that node while taking into account previously preselected skills. This ensures the path is optimized based on all planned allocations. Optimized Multi-Node Pathfinding: If multiple skill nodes are selected, the system should automatically determine the most efficient path to reach all selected nodes, creating an optimal "branch" or "mini-tree" to allocate points in sequence. These features would make skill tree planning much more intuitive and user-friendly. I’d love to see them implemented in Path of Exile 1 or 2! Last bumped on Dec 23, 2024, 5:55:00 PM
