The WORST trade system I have ever seen!

Trading is next to impossible. You have to be watching your chat every second of the day and immediately try to trade before they buy from someone else. it's an absolute massive waste of time. Why does POE not have an auction house like every other game made in the past decade? We need to be able to list our items and allow people to buy them regardless if we are online or not and skip this absolutely ridiculous lottery system that the current ways has created. Most of the time people don't reply when you want to buy and most of the time people don't buy from you because they get it some someone else. They whisper several people and you have to leave your party to invite them, teleport to town, invite them etc.... only to find out they got it from someone else. COME ON!!!!

That's the rant... now the question is, is GGG going to create a modern auction system or not? I hear so many people complaining about this.

Agreed.
It is not the easiest thing to navigate at all. Never seen anything like this. Having to use a 3rd party online trade side run by the same game is incredibly weird and unnecessary. Need to catch up to 20 year old game trade mechanics and make it easy.

That's....not 3rd party. "3rd party" would mean that the trade site isn't being run/maintained by the company that owns the game.
So.. what's the official stance from GGG? Obviously they know about this, why haven't they created one and will they for POE 2 or no?
Thanks for being smart but im sure you know exactly what I mean. It's completely seperate from the actual game which is closer to 3rd party in my view.

Definitely no, it took them 5 years to have their own trade site, and another 5 years to just get the very bare minimum of trading support in client.

Read their trading manifesto, they believe that trading is sacred and all important to the game, but also they believe that and improvements to the trading experience since Diablo 2 are in fact the worst thing ever and the devil incarnate.

You should be trading constantly for everything all the time, but also you should hate every second of it and it should ruin all of your gameplay.

Agreed, 100%. I'm also convinced that 99% of "people" who lists items for sale are bots. I'll whisper 30 players and be lucky to get a response from 1 of them.

They should just make an auction house in game.

Either do that, or make it feasible to find/craft items in game. Make crafting materials drop in abundance. You can't balance a game around trade and then do everything possible to make trade a pain in the butt, because players won't be able to gear up.

I'm level 82 and I just realized yesterday one of my items is from level 4. Yes, 4! I've tried to trade. I've tried to find better items. I've had bad luck with both. And the thing is, I might be able to have better items if I used my exalts, but they are so rare/valuable that I'd be stupid to use them for their intended purpose, which is crafting, considering 99% of the time I'll get crap affixes when I do use them.

I've got around 40 exalts in my stash. I've probably used 20 and traded with 5. So level 82 and I've found around a total of 65. And I'm running high level maps. Probably 30 of those 40 were from high level maps. It's just crazy how low the drops are in general and how back loaded they are... if you can even call 1 exalt per 2-3 tier 15 maps back loaded.
