Sorceress , no Ascendancy , level 45 , Act 3

Hello,
need help with Sorceress class , Sorceress , no Ascendancy , level 45 , Act 3. I am not planning to use any Ascendancy and I do not like the Trials. I rather not play the Path of Exile 2 game if the trials or Ascendancy is mandatory. Currently I have no items drops from monsters or items that would provide any benefits to my character. Checking vendors often for any good loot. The Currency drops are poor and mostly not happening. So I can not craft any gear or gamble in crafting. I had played since December 3 , and not achieved anything in Path of Exile 2 game. My character has only accumulated many many deaths. I am forced to use minions as tanks as my character is dying from one shot from every minion that I encounter in the game. Main skill is Spark and Flame wall. ~100 dps I tried Arc and the damage is miserable, and it takes many minutes to kill a simple mob with Arc. The talent tree is mostly on elemental damage and ailments exposure. Each Boss fights lasts about half an hour, and I have to repeat them fights as dying many times , and that of course results no progression in the game and stuck. Summary : No items drops , no currency drops , stuck , very low dps. Last bumped on Dec 23, 2024, 1:24:24 PM

If you arent disenchanting and using the salvage bench then you are going to be low on crafting materials. I salvage items with slots and disenchant unusable magic and rares. This alone will get you better gear and crafting materials. I wont speak on damage and passives as you have not provided much info there.

Best advice I could give you is follow a guide.
If you struggle that much at this point of the game your missing something. Spell mostly scale with level so a huge damage multiplier is spell level that you can get on your wand \ staff To kill big monster, curse and exposure help a lot (Lot harder for lighting spell to get exposure tho...) Ascendency are technically not mandatory but they are usually a huge spike\part of any build. Some ascendency are just nice bonus, other are build defining. Trial might be a bit hard but you can comeback once your overlevel if your struggling right now and you can do your first trial later. Sell, and salvage rare item to get material to craft or buy from marchant, each level the merchant reset, check for a wand\staff with skill level or lighting skill gem level. Depending on your level they can get up to +6 level on staff. Dont forget to try to level up your spell gem whenever you can and carefull to not put a support gem that will for exemple reduce the lighting damage by putting extra fire or cold damage support gem on it. |

" This is far from harassment or humiliation towards you. It's straight up a valid question. You haven't provided any info about your build, your passive tree or anything for people to look at and help you with. You say you don't want to do ascendancies because you don't like them? How do you expect people to take you seriously then? Ascendancies are a huge part of any class you choose. Maybe you can make it to endgame with a generic sorc, but there wont be much room for you to grow or expand into the endgame more. If you're just playing for the campaign, then sure, you'll be able to work things around and complete it. I guess it depends on what you want out of the game, and how much you're willing to put into getting what you want out of it. There are lots of build guides, youtube videos, or websites breaking down and explaining the game and how it works. I'd suggest checking into those. And truly, I hope you can get the info you are looking for. If you have any issues, people are pretty friendly and helpful in general chat. Reach out to people in game if you're struggling to understand certain things about the game. |
