Game instant crashing in Act 3: Utzaal

For reference, character is level 88 - I went to Act 3: Utzaal (Cruel) to test out some changes to my character, and then the game crashed after 10 seconds. Now on trying to log back in, the game will crash every single time, won't be able to even move my character. There appears to be no way to log back into town so I think I am stuck here.
