Eternal Knights are trash
Be honest...you guys were absolutely high when you designed that monster, right?
Having to face them in the campaign, okay, but those in rare in t15+ maps where the pack fires a cascade of skulls(?) at you for every time they get hit? I have 8.000+ ehp and I was very close to death the second they came into contact with my spells. I wouldnt care and maybe even laugh about it, if death wouldnt mean game over for the map and good bye to % of xp. You know there is a reason why people re-rolled maps with "enemies reflect" in poe, right? It sucks. And now we are forced to accept it exists and good luck this is not fun... they reflect projectiles, non projectile attacks/spells (Arc, wave attacks, lightning bolt) dont get reflected. Also reflected hits dont do damage at all.
So yes, they need a rework. |

" Yeah this monster is dreadful. I get the idea that they wanted some mobs to require a bit of tactics to kill but this is the wrong way of going about it. The Gargoyle Demons are almost as annoying but at least if I hit them by accident I can behave accordingly without a risk of them killing me unless I get surrounded or mobbed which is more of an issue with these enemies but still doable. All that the Gargoyle Demon can do is block frontal hits. Eternal Knights punish us for attacking anything close to them just as much as they punish being attacked themselves which makes them a menace in high density without some mechanic like corpse explosions or raw spammable AOE damage like a grenade. |

They're a cool tactical design. They're great to fight as rares. But I agree that they (and any others with a shield blocking all damage, for that matter) are terrible if they spawn in large groups. I reach for my flash grenades as soon as I see them coming. They're one of those where there should be less of them, but more impactful.
